A sprinkling of fairy dust...

TGIF!

So this card was made for the Youtube Hop over on the Sweet November Stamps Youtube channel during the Spring clear release celebration at Sweet November Stamps. I used the slimline Gallery Frame #5 die from Hello Bluebird to create these three little vignettes with the fairies, bugs and flowers from the Enchanted Spring Flowers set. It was fun focusing in on the smaller areas which really helped pull focus to the delicate fairy folk. I also shared how I colored the 'glow' around the fairies to add to the overall magic of this card.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for the new digi release coming to the store!  ;)

Shello...

Hey, hey!

The latest Scene Progression Break Down video series wraps up on the Sweet November Stamps Youtube channel today. This charming card stars the super adorable snail from the 3x4 Shello set that is part of the recent Spring clear release at Sweet November Stamps. Over the past few weeks I've been sharing how I create this grassy Spring scene and all of the pretty pastel Copic color combos that make it up. So if you are looking for something to watch on Youtube then be sure to check out all five videos in this series. :)

Oopsie Daisy...

Hello again!

How about a cute little skunk to bring a smile to you today? She is from the Spring Garden Critters set at Sweet November Stamps and I colored this particular scene during the release weekend Lives over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. It was kinda the grand finale of the weekend since with the addition of the Forest Abode tree house and the Horizon Lines: Wildflower Meadow in the background, I knew that this would go a bit longer than the 2 hours that I try to keep my Lives under. I think the extra time was worth it though as this scene turned out so beautiful and I had a great group of fellow card makers there, helping to make it all come together. Honestly, I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday than coloring with friends.  :)

Laters!

Bee-utiful You...

Good morning!

I'm currently busy working with a few deadlines so here's another cute card that I had made for the recent clear release at Sweet November Stamps. This sweet little bee and sentiment are from the 3x4 Bee-utiful You set and I've filled the background using both of the floral corner stamps in the Enchanted Spring Flowers set. He looks so happy just sitting on his flower and soaking in the warm sunshine of a beautiful Spring day. I can almost smell the sweet scent of those flowers just looking at this card, LOL!

Alrighty, I've gotta run... see ya in 24!

Bloom and Grow...

Happy Earth Day!

I'm up on the Hello Bluebird blog once again and in honor of Earth Day I have combined a handful of sets to create a happy scene full of growth and new beginnings. The digging bear and worm from the Vegetable Garden set and the fox with a watering can from the Bloom and Grow set have been brought together to plant a sapling and do their part to make the world a more beautiful place. To help fill out the background and further the story that I wanted to tell with these cute critters, I masked them both before stamping the tall tree from the Forest Fawns set twice. I then took the blooming branch stamp from the Picked For You set and flipped it to stand vertical from the dirt to mimic a small tree. Once the masks were removed I was ready to grab my Copic markers and start coloring. As you can see, I stamped everything within the scene to fill the top two thirds of the card front and as I colored in the grass I let the green fade out to white at the bottom of the card. This left me with just enough white space to stamp in the large sentiment from the Spring Script set. With the top half of the card filled with the bright, happy colors of a beautiful spring day, I die cut the card front and glued it to the card base. Then I could add some finishing touch embellishments, like the natural jute twine tied up in a pretty bow and the wood grain enamel dots that I found in my crafty stash. The end result is a card full of charm with a lovely message on this Earth Day.  :)
